Onya blinks his eyes trying to gain focus. The heat surrounding him is intense and he is inexplicably unable to grasp the full picture of what’s going on around him. As Onya gains control of his senses it is soon apparent that six figures stand before him. There seems to be a light source behind them casting their shadow in front of them. Their faces cannot be distinguished, but their silhouette is undeniable. Vial goblinoids dressed in rags covered with mismatched armor and wielding weapons as rusty and tarnished as their souls. The hobgoblins stand ready to attack, as if taunting him, waiting for him to make the first move. “Where did these disgusting hobgoblins come from?” he said to himself. Onya grips his sword, digs his feet into the ground for a charging attack when he hears the growl of a tiger. It’s not clear in which direction this new foe could be. Onya then sees, far to his right, a cat-like creature rushing forward attacking one of the goblins. Surprisingly the goblin avoids the fierce bite of the beast, but as quickly as it moved out of the path of death it falls to the ground.
Onya struggles to process what just happened. “I could have sworn the tiger missed its prey. How could he have then died?” From where the tiger emerged Onya can see an elvish figure slowly coming into focus. Her arm is extended towards the direction of the downed foe. He can see an empty sling recoiling after being used. “She must have killed it!” Onya exclaims! Judging by the olive-tone of her skin and inner-twinned vines and leaves covering her body Onya concludes that she must be a druid of some sort. One of the keepers of the forest and friend to all wildlife. That explains where the tiger came from, but does it explain if they are allies or more carcasses to wipe his blade clean.
Another shadowy figure rushes to attack the goblins. This one is big yet some how moves with speed he hasn’t seen before. As it stops in front of one of the goblins Onya sees this figure perform a spinning attack that decimates its opponent. A second goblin falls dead to the ground. “Great! Only four more to kill or do these new figures also propose a threat to me?”
Leli is in a daze. She shakes her head to gain some clarity, it only makes the dizziness worse. She is unable to keep her balance and falls over. Extending her arms she breaks her fall by holding tightly to her trusty tiger companion. He looks at her then growls as if asking her if she’s OK? Leli nods her head and fights to stand on her own. Frustrated with the unsuccessful independence of standing she closes her eyes to find her center. A dim light can be seen outlining her tribal tattoos as Leli becomes one with her environment. Now standing firm she gracefully puts her hands together then pulls them apart clearing the fog that blocked her vision.
The tiger now sees what she’s been smelling, the filthy odor of a hobgoblin. She digs her heels into the ground and thrusts herself forward. The intended target moves quickly out of the way as the feline’s head attempts to devour it. Leli anticipated the failed attempt from her companion releases the smooth stone that sat in her sling. It whips through the air, spinning with such force that a small whirling screech can be heard as it passed the tiger’s head and dug itself deep into the forehead of the hobgoblin. It falls to the ground.
Martinez immediately draws out her two blades as she looks around. The fog is thick though she can easily see the threat in front of her. Hobgoblins! Those damn dirty hobgoblins. A head on attack would be folly. If she would attack from the side
The adventurers immediately find themselves in a battle against Hobgoblins and a giant blue dragon. The hero’s fight valiantly against the goblins, but are defeated when faced the dragon. Onya wakes up in a cold sweat. “A dragon… what could it mean?” He ponders, “And who were those other two?” Martinez also wakes up, quickly grabbing her pillow tight. She then jumps down from her bed, which is suspended from the ceiling, and immediately writes in her journal of the adventure she just dreamt. Making note of the two other adventurers with her. Leli wakes up curled up with her tiger companion. She pets [TIGER] and tells him of her dream fighting hobgoblins and a dragon. She also mentions two other adventurers fighting by her side.
